                                                                                                         Omega Course

The material taught in TCCP classes is the Omega Course. Each of its five manuals has been designed to provide the skills, the answers to questions, and the handling of potential problems that are faced in the various phases of church planting as they are being performed. Application activities completed by the student church planters assure they will identify a target church area, do evangelistic outreach to the area, disciple new believers, and start a cell group that is focused on becoming a new church plant by the time they complete the first three manuals. The course is normally taught in three or six hour sessions once each week. The three hour per week program requires about 12 months to complete.

Between class sessions, student church planters complete activities designed to carry them through the process of effectively planting a church. Most of the 127 lessons end with an Action Plan involving completion of these activities.
An example of these activities in each manual is as follows:
Manual 1:  Complete research on target area for a new church plant.
Manual 2: Write a basic strategy for how you could use cell groups to reach your goals.
Manual 3:  Participate in church planting activities for establishing a new church.
Manual 4:  Identify two potential leaders in your church plant.
Manual 5:  Share with church about reaching out with the gospel - multiply.

The Omega Course has been translated into several languages used in Africa.
